How Do I Find a Good Therapist for My Kid Who’s on the Spectrum?
Honestly, it’s really tough to navigate and know when a psychology or therapist understands the spectrum.
Any good therapist will welcome a five or ten-minute interview or phone call where you can assess do they feel like they’re a good fit.
Now, this will sound pretty strange, but I would be looking for a therapist that’s nerdy. A therapist that knows what Pokemon is or knows things about Star Wars and Legos.
You have to find a therapist that can speak that language. If you can find a therapist that can speak that language, you’re probably in really good hands!
