What to Expect in Sibling Support Groups

What to Expect in Sibling Support Groups

A really cool thing about my job is I get to do sibling support groups. And in my groups, we get to talk about a couple of different things.

One of those things is coping. We talk about how to cope with a sibling that’s a little bit different from the others.

The second thing we get to talk about is fairness and equality. Not everything in life is going to be fair and how we handle that.

The third thing we discuss is emotions. We talk about how you can handle a sibling with really big emotions.

Those are a few of the things we cover in my sibling support group. Not all support groups are the same, so it’s important that you find one that best fits both you and your children.
