Her areas of interest include anxiety issues (obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic, social anxiety, specific phobias, worry, and generalized anxiety), hoarding, organizing, trichotillomania, sleep, and psychoeducational assessments.

Dr. Umbach practices from a cognitive-behavioral perspective focused on increasing flexibility in thinking and making adaptive behavior changes. She is the author of Conquer Your Fears and Phobias for Teens.
